SPECIALTY CLASS

OK , I got messages!!! I have just been a little behind the 8ball!! I am working on the class list.

I have scheduled this INTARSIA class for Sunday February 8th at Sip & Knit, Inc.

Learn this color knitting technique and have this holiday trinket in just 1 lesson!! Our project is a sachet and our motif will be a heart!!

I have scheduled this class to begin at 1:30pm and go until we have finished the heart, which I anticipate to be some where around 4pm.

The cost will be $45 per person and will include the yarn, pattern and filling!!

I hope everyone has been recuperating from the holiday season. I know I have been trying.....but as you know I have a hard time with the unwinding process from anything.

I have been making a class list that looks something like this:

SOCKS FOR 2 CIRCULARS - For the sock knitter who wants to learn the 2 circular way, or of you already know how to do 2 circulars, for the sock knitter who wants an original pattern to indulge in a fancy sock.

ENTRELAC - Technique class.

COLOR KNITTING - Technique class.

A SUMMER TOP - Project class.

LACE SHAWL - Technique class.

I am just waiting for a date confirmation for Solo and Ensemble for my son Alex. It is held over a weekend in February and I don't want to book a class and have to reschedule it. Alex is being judged on the Marimba, Snare Drum and Timpiani this year!! He made it very clear he needs me to be there for support, and everyone knows there is no one like Mommy when it comes to the scary stuff!!

I have had a whirl wind of a holiday and hope you all had a good time too!!

I am leaving tonight to visit my sister in Tampa just for the day tomorrow. Alex and I are taking Dixie, she needs a break from Vivian!! Those of you who have met Vivi know what I am talking about. I will be posting the new class schedule this weekend.

I will be in for Sunday General Help Class at Sip & Knit, Inc. from 11-1 as usual

I will be resuming a somewhat normal schedule as of Wednesday January 7th,2009

Cowl - This project is a simple Cowl to wear just like a scarf. This class will include a pattern to be furnished by me. See store for details on yarn requirements, or email me.

Sunday December 14th 1:30-3:30PM $25.00
Cables, Cables, Cables!!!! - In this class we will learn the basic principles of a cable. We will cast on for a scarf, however if you have a project in mind, bring it in!! There will be time at the end of class to start a project!! See store for details on yarn requirements, or email me.

5 Scheduled Session and 5 Flex Sessions, yes for a total of 10 Classes!!!:
Sunday afternoons 1:30-3:30pm

11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30*

*if this date does not accommodate us due to Thanksgiving weekend, we will all come up with another date for the final class!!

In this class we will learn to knit a sweater from the neck down. The pattern I have chosen is a cardigan. We will discuss how to convert it into a pullover, why we use the decreases we do, how to change it up by inserting a pattern and a few more tidbits!! This sweater can be completed by the last class, homework will be assigned after each class to accomplish this!! There is little to no finishing!!! Alternative Sweater is the February Lady Sweater pictured below, this too is a top down sweater. Either sweater is done on worsted weight and is possible to finish by the end of this class!!

All supplies are to be purchased at Sip & Knit prior to class. Cancellations 72 hours prior to class will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 72 hours no refund will be made. Classes may only be made up by private lesson.
